Basic Configuration:
Below is a quick overview of configuring basic access control in Web Client software:
Configure Controller settings:
- GMT offset
- Door Configuration
- Configure Card Formats
- Name Devices Accordingly:
- Door 1: Reader 1, Input 1 for Door Contact, Input 2 for REX, Output 1 for Door lock
- Door 2: Reader 2, Input 3 for Door Contact, Input 4 for REX, Output 3 for Door lock
Configure Time Schedules:
- Create Holiday(s) (if any) and make sure to select at least 1 Holiday Type box for the Holiday to take effect.
- Create separate Time Schedules for automatic door unlock schedules (do not check ‘H’ box otherwise door will unlock on a holiday).
- Create Time Schedules that will be used with Access Levels for personnel access to doors (okay to check the ‘H’ box here to bypass Holidays).
Configure Access Levels:
- Create Access Control Reader Groups (ACRGs). Not required but highly recommended. The default ACRG of ‘All readers’ is empty. It is recommended that all readers of the system are added to this ACRG
- Select a Time Schedule, then an ACRG or Reader to add to the Access Level.
