Creating Time Schedule with Intervals

Creating a Time Schedule with Multiple Intervals

Overview:
A Time Schedule defines the specific periods during which users are permitted to access doors. In many scenarios, access needs to be granted during separate time blocks within the same day (e.g., morning and afternoon sessions with a break in between). This is where configuring multiple intervals within a single Time Schedule becomes essential.

This guide walks you through the steps to create a Time Schedule with multiple intervals.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Access the Time Schedule Module

    • From the main menu, navigate to Access ControlTime Schedule.

  2. Select or Edit a Time Schedule

    • Use the dropdown menu to choose an existing Time Schedule you wish to create or modify.

    • If controller groups are in use, make sure to select the appropriate Controller Group.

  3. Rename the Time Schedule

    • Under the Command section, click Rename Time Schedule.

    • Enter a new name/description, then click Save.

  4. Configure Intervals

    • Click on +Interval 1 to expand the first time block.

      • Enter the Start Time and Stop Time.

      • Select the applicable Days of the Week and Holiday Groups.

    • Click on +Interval 2 to define a second time block.

      • Again, set the Start Time, Stop Time, and applicable Days/Holidays.

    • Note: You can add up to 12 intervals per Time Schedule by repeating the above step for each additional interval.

  5. Save Your Configuration

    • Once all desired intervals have been added, click the Save button to apply the changes.

Tip:
Use multiple intervals to align access permissions with operational hours, shifts, or lunch breaks, ensuring access is only granted when truly needed.
