Azure controllers (IC2/IC4) currently support up to 16 OSDP devices. OSDP devices includes OSDP Reader, RI2M, IO168, and IO21.
IC2 – A single IC2 can support the following number of OSDP readers*:
- 2 OSDP readers (reader in configuration) and up to 14 RI2Ms (28 OSDP readers) totaling a maximum of 30 OSDP readers
- 4 OSDP readers (reader in/out configuration) and up to 12 RI2Ms (24 OSDP readers) totaling a maximum of 28 OSDP readers
IC4 – A single IC4 can support the following number of OSDP readers*:
- 4 OSDP readers (reader in configuration) and up to 12 RI2Ms (24 OSDP readers) totaling a maximum of 28 OSDP readers
- 8 OSDP readers (reader in/out configuration) and up to 8 RI2Ms (16 OSDP readers) totaling a maximum of 24 OSDP readers
*IO168 and IO21 connected to controllers will reduce the OSDP device count.
Below are examples of different OSDP reader configurations:
Ex 1: IC2 with 2 OSDP readers, reader in configuration
Ex 2: IC2 with 4 OSDP readers, reader in/out configuration
Ex 3: IC4 with 4 OSDP readers, reader in configuration
Ex 4: IC4 with 8 OSDP readers, reader in/out configuration
Ex 5: IC2 with 2 OSDP readers (reader in configuration) and 10 RI2Ms equals a total of 22 OSDP readers
Ex 6: IC2 with 4 OSDP readers (reader in/out configuration) and 8 RI2Ms equals a total of 20 OSDP readers
Ex 7: IC4 with 4 OSDP readers (reader in configuration) and 6 RI2Ms equals a total of 16 OSDP readers
Ex 8: IC4 with 8 OSDP readers (reader in/out configuration) and 4 RI2Ms equals a total of 16 OSDP readers
