Video Integration

Overview

This article describes how to configure Video Integration by adding cameras and linking them to other devices in the system. UnityIS supports most IP Video systems that can provide a secure video stream for both live and recorded video.


Adding Cameras

  • From Hardware Manager, add the Video Driver.
  • Add a controller
  • Add a sub-controller based on the number of cameras that you wish to add or group together. Please note that additional camera templates can be added to the system upon request.
  • Select a camera and enter the Live Stream and Recorded Stream for the camera.


Link a Camera to Another Device

  • In Hardware Manager, select the device that you wish to link to a camera.
  • Click on the Properties button for the device.
  • Set the Video Links property to the camera that should be linked to this device.


Viewing Live Video

Live video can be viewed from the following areas of the software:

  • Hardware Manager- Click on the Command Window button for the camera located in the device tree.
  • Video Manager will display a grid of all defined cameras.
  • Graphic Maps- Click on a plotted camera or device that has been linked to a camera to bring up the Command Window.
  • Event Manager- Device events that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the event.
  • Alarm Manager- Device alarms that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the alarm. 


Viewing Recorded Video

Recorded video can be viewed from the following areas of the software:

  • Event Manager- Device events that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the event.
  • Alarm Manager- Device alarms that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the alarm.
