Arcules Video Integration

Overview

This article describes how to configure an Arcules Video system by adding cameras and linking them to other devices in the system. UnityIS supports most IP Video systems that can provide a secure video stream for both live and recorded video.

Adding Cameras

  • From Hardware Manager, add the Video Driver.
  • Add a controller and set the model to 'Arcules'.
  • Set the controller's user name and password properties to the logon information used to connect to the Arcules video system.
  • Click save for the controller properties and note that the tree will auto populate with the cameras that have already been pre-configured in the Arcules system. Another way to populate cameras is to add a sub-controller and click on Auto Find to automatically find and add cameras to the system. This too will automatically populate the hardware tree with all of the cameras configured within the Arcules system.

Link a Camera to Another Device

  • In Hardware Manager, select the device that you wish to link to a camera.
  • Click on the Properties button for the device.
  • Set the Video Links property to the camera that should be linked to this device.

Viewing Live Video

Live video can be viewed from the following areas of the software:

  • Hardware Manager- Click on the Command Window button for the camera located in the device tree.
  • Video Manager will display a grid of all defined cameras.
  • Graphic Maps- Click on a plotted camera or device that has been linked to a camera to bring up the Command Window.
  • Event Manager- Device events that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the event.
  • Alarm Manager- Device alarms that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the alarm.

Viewing Recorded Video

Recorded video can be viewed from the following areas of the software:

  • Event Manager- Device events that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the event.
  • Alarm Manager- Device alarms that have a Video Link to a Camera will display live video in the Command Window. Clicking on the history button to the top right will bring up recorded video of the camera for the specific time date stamp of the alarm.
